Why AHTCM

Anhui University of Chinese Medicine has 7 schools offering 3 key courses of the provincial level, 1 key course of thenational level, 18 Master’s degree-awarding spots, 4 bases for cultivating the doctoral students cooperating with other medical universities, 6 hi-tech TCM research institutes, 2 key laboratories of the provincial level, 2 affiliated hospitals of the provincial level, 1 TCM clinic and 1 hospital specialized in the combination of Chinese and Western medicine. It has 22 majors leading to a Bachelor’s degree, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Osteology, Rehabilitation and Nursing. There are nearly full-time 8,000 students in the University. It has a qualified faculty, 300 of whom are professors and associate professors and 100 of whom are entitled to supervise students studying for a Master’s or a Ph.D’s degree. There are more than 300,000 volumes of books in the library, which has an e-reading room with 200 booths. The Exhibition Hall of Xin’an Medical Thought School, the Sample Center of Chinese Herbs, the Garden of Medical Herbs, the TCM Clinic with famous Chinese physicians, and the Storing Room of Ancient Chinese Medical Books are all visited by overseas guests more than 1,000 times per year.
